The avant-garde theatre group from Dublin, having received awards in New York, with a number of international accolades in its luggage, is coming to Thessaloniki for the first time, with a moving story based on real news.

In July 2000 the lifeless bodies of three sisters and the aunt that raised them were discovered by their landlord in a village in Ireland. It seems that they jointly decided to starve themselves to death, without having left any explanation as to why they made this decision, apart from unclear evidence and ripped up letters. This mysterious suicide pact remained conclusively unexplained, and the unanswered “why” was the spark for the Lippy group to creatively respond to the drama, instead of trying to hypothetically reconstruct it. Marrying elements from metatheatre, narrative and interactive theatre, the exceptionally intriguing and up-and-coming ‘Dead Centre’ Irish group provides us with their own version of this tragedy.
