Soundscapes Compositions

As part of the European multidisciplinary program “INTERFACES” coordinated by Onassis Cultural Centre where a range of new audiences engage with contemporary music in Europe, these very ingenious people of Thessaloniki city that form dissonArt ensemble will give  a really unexpected concert comprising 8 new compositions all inspired by 8 important monuments of Thessaloniki: the White Tower, Navarinou square, Arch of Galerious, Panagia Achiropeiitos church, Agia Sofia church, Roman market, Aristotelous square and Thessaloniki port.

This concert will mark the beginning of a sonic stroll entitled Soundscapes Compositions and the visitor will have the opportunity to install “My city, My sounds’ application on his/her mobile and make a tour around all points-stations of this stroll listening to the city’s whispers. The aforementioned event is a production of Onassis Cultural Centre and is held in the context of Interfaces network co-financed by “Creative Europe” Program of the European Union.
