Having been described as “the drummer of his generation”, Gregory Hutchinson ranks among the most highly respected musicians of our time.

The Brooklyn native begun playing at the age of three and his dedication to the instrument has helped him become a supreme musical talent that soon established himself as a formidable presence in the jazz community.

Looking back at his resume, scenes from “Whiplash” may spring to mind: arriving an hour earlier to lessons and staying behind an hour after since the age of twelve, an intense four year period of practicing that led him to Justin Diccicio becoming his mentor, sharing the stage with jazz giants such as Wynton Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, John Scofield, Betty Carter, Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr, as well as many others, Gregory Hutchinson will offer a drumming workshop that will not only appeal to aspiring musicians, but to anyone with an appreciation for jazz music.

The seminar will be followed by a live performance from Hutchinson himself, one of the most exciting drummers to watch and hear, one whose ambition is “to play the drums like Charlie Parker played the horn”.
