The Notebook by Agota Kristof is one of the most popular productions of the Foret Company. It is a wild coming of age story set in the horror of war, with a strong dose of black humour. Two twin boys are left by their mother in the care of their grandmother. The fairy tale of the evil witch begins… Directed by Csaba Horváth.

Kristof’s award winning novel has been translated into 30 languages, while critics compare her work to that of Ionesco and Beckett.

Forte is an independent company of physical theatre founded by director and choreographer Csaba Horváth in 2005.  Its members experiment aiming at creating a new theatrical language of their own. Their basic tools are movement, voice, dance, music, image and text.
