The up-and-coming Greek photographer graduated from Farnham University for the Creative Arts and soon started collecting international distinctions, receiving high profile awards, participating in exhibitions in Europe and the USA, publications in magazines and newspapers such as Wallpaper*, Monocle, Guardian, and Jeu de Paume.
The ‘Unseen limits / Makeshift constructions’ series presented at this year’s Photobiennale is curated by Iraklis Papaioanou. As the curator himself noted, in Petros Efstathiadis’ photographs “constructed themes mix in enchanting fashion with the natural background, raw reality turns into a crafted creation, everyday spaces are temporarily transformed into a track for artistic acts, shortening distances that have been set out in welcome and unexpected ways”.
