THE SEAGULL... THAT’S WHAT I WANTED TO SAY HASHART THEATRE GROUP

A performance on the passions of love and creativity, based on Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’ and the writings of: Akis Dimou, George Chimonas, Laurent Gaude, Giannis Efstathiadis, Sarah Kane, Giannis Panou, Spyros Stavropoulos, Javier Marias, Henriette Vogel, as well as other important creators and authors.

Faithful to the first half of its name, HashArt theatrical troupe mixes old and new material that it amasses from libraries, record collections and from within the emotional wells of its own members, in order to imbue new life into the original material, while placing it in a different dimension. The result of the many months of “hashing it out” – their creative process – is imprinted in this successful performance of the large troupe, which was first performed in 2016 and continued until June 2017, with tours in Athens, Patras and Ioannina. It is now coming to the 52nd Dimitria to introduce itself to the Thessaloniki theatre audience.
