A return to the days of the Russian avant-garde, a term that describes an organic synergy embracing all forms of art. A cultural reconstitution of the era, featuring Anna Nechaeva, the famous soprano from the Bolshoi Theatre, who will sing the Seven Songs of Alexandre Blok set to music by Dmitri Shostakovich, and actress Tamilla Kulieva, who will recite a selection of poems by Alexandre Blok in Russian and in Greek translation. They will be accompanied by the Transcription Ensemble, outstanding interpreters of Russian avant-garde music, while selected works from the SMCA’s Kostakis Collection, by artists including Vasilii Kandinsky, Liubov Popova and Vladimir Tatlin, will be projected.
