In the framework of the celebration of the 100th anniversary since the end of World War I, tribute is paid to the beacons of music that were never extinguished, despite the darkness and violence of history.
Chopin’s first piano concerto, Mozart’s Adagio and Fugue, Sibelius and Elgar pieces that glorify peace and offer the indisputable testimony of our existence in a fragile and valuable world.
Award winning composer, orchestra conductor, choir conductor, and singer Philippe Forget, will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, while Marilena Liakopoulou, a soloist with a rich career and a broad range of piano solos, concertos and chamber music pieces and collaborations with renowned artists from all over the world, will perform on the piano.
