The city priest, former bar owner, current arms dealer, who supplies weapons to both sides of the war in cooperation with the official. An insane woman in the service of the church who saw the war take her child from her. These are the helpless resident of the city in which the child, the play’s central character, must live. ‘Israfel’s Trumpet’ is a performance about the destructive war of Iran. It is the story of a devastated city, whose residents have become used to brutality and loss to such an extent that they stay alive only through their survival instinct. It is the innocence and purity of that boy’s soul that will shine a light on the humanity in each of the residents. At the end of the journey, war will continue, however, the hearts of the protagonists will have softened. Amer Mosafer directs the timely play by Siavash Pakrah and the six-member troupe stages a lively and deeply emotional performance.
