Event Details

Every production by Horos Theatre Company opens up a new field for exploration, offers a new proposal, a new, multidimensional world. For the first time the dynamic theatre group will be tackling an ancient text. The performance will combine extracts from the poem Sissimon or Ta Kefalaia, by Nikos Panayiotopoulos, and Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex. In the words of the group’s inspiration and director, Simos Kakalas, ‘we need to engage with things that are greater than we are, to assume the faces of figures from the past, in order to learn about ourselves’. Exercise: Sissimon is a point of agreement between cast and audience, a desperate movement to give a voice to those with no place under the sun’.
