DISPLACEMENT – THE ROAD BY THE CONTEMPORARY DANCE GROUP OF PERSA STAMATOPOULOU

Tasos Karachalios’ solo performance, conceptualised and choreographed by Persa Stamatopoulou, is based on the idea of a journey organised and experienced by one person, while exploring the concept of change and displacement from one place to another. It explores wandering, restarting and – in the end – the action that they are called to manage in a landscape with no borders or limitations.

Reviewing the timelessness of human displacement, this performance is inspired by Fernando Pessoa’s book ‘Peregrino’ and uses the body and sound as tools to approach and record a journey of reversals, pauses, vigilance, redefinition and restructuring.

LAPSES OF LIGHT BY KONSTANTINA EFTHYMIADOU, KOSTAS MAKRYGIANNAKIS AND ALEXANDROS SEITARIDIS

A quest for the light that we lose momentarily and then rediscover. ‘Lapses of Light’ is the second performance piece to be born of the cooperation between Konstantina Efthymiadou, Kostas Makrygiannakis and Alexandros Seitaridis.

Moving in a visual and directly sound-producing framework, with the musician playing on stage, the choreography is carried out interactively with the music that has been written especially for the performance, while the light “dresses” and supports every aspect of this idea.
