3rd Kapani Project

The event that takes us on a tour around the historic central market of the city and offers us unique experiences focused on culture, social contact, becoming acquainted with one of the most singular nooks and aspects of the culture of Thessaloniki, is returning.

This year’s Kapani Project has something for everyone. Live acts, DJ sets, performances, visual arts. Noise Figures, Seahorse, Gangsters of Love and BNC – The Disco Vampire will create a concert-like atmosphere on the market streets. Larry SKG and Pale Penguin will take to the decks in the DJ sets, in a promising showcase by Shango Records, while the draw style stage will be staffed by Mister T, Phon, and Stelio gala. On the alternative stage, PRISM will initiate the audience into the joys of minimalist sound, while the line-up will also consist of Thomas Numan, Jiles John, and Tikis a.k.a. 9west.

There will be performances (‘The Exchange’ by the triplx group, ‘Slip’ by Olina Ikonomidou – Marianna Leptokaropoulou, and ‘Kinonia’ by Virginia Mastrogiannaki), playback theatre by Playback Theatre Thessaloniki, as well as the Balkan Route interactive installation by Asklepieion, a multicultural visual journey through the Balkans with installations, photos, and videos. Culture, and “urban culture” in particular, are celebrated at the 3rd Kapani Project.
