Event Details

The Russian Revolution of 1917, one the most important events that changed the flow of history in the 20th century, is the focal point of a digital exhibition which observes the development of visual arts in Russia through the work of trailblazing artists, groups and movements from 1900 until 1923, alongside historical developments. Hosting images mainly from the Kostaki collection of the State Museum of Contemporary Art, the exhibition marks the vision of socio-political change, in combination with the rapid scientific developments and social changes that took place during that period, creating the ideological, philosophical and tangible conditions that led to the explosive phenomenon of the Russian avant-garde in the arts.
